Great piece! You'll have to get to Hutchinson to see Odyssey in its permanent home now that the Cosmosphere has finished up the renovation project in the hall of space.
Amazing! Being born across the Atlantic I had to be content with loving space stuff from a distance but I eventually made it to KSC in 2008 while on a 5 year working visa in the US. I also managed to go to the Air & Space museums in DC and Virginia, and even went out to the Cradle of Aviation Museum (they have the Apollo 18 lunar module). Also, by coincidence, I wrote here about my lifelong pursuit (photography) and how that got started... which also happened to be in August 1975.

Thanks, John. The Cosmosphere is definitely on my list of space places to visit.
